Neve Paritzki Israel is celebrating record-breaking Tourism Entry Numbers from the United States
NEW YORK - Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today announced new records for arrivals of tourists to Israel from the United States in July and august. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This represents a 4% increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was exciting to see a rise in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Canada which isn't too far from the United States of America, is on track for surpassing the number of tourists visiting Israel. It had 7,200 visitors in July 2022 as well as 6,000 visitors in August.
Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada within the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are not too far away from our record 2019 numbers, and we are anticipating that the growth in travel to Israel will further increase as Canadians continue to feel more at ease travelling abroad."
In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists 969,600 of whom came from the United States, and since its official reopening for any traveler regardless of the status of their vaccination in May of this year, the country has already received over 600,400 US visitors.
